1. Introduction
Aulona Insurance Group LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our clients, prospective clients, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, apply for insurance products, or interact with our agency. By using our services or accessing our website, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
2. Information Aulona Insurance Group Collects
As an independent insurance agency, Aulona Insurance Group LLC collects the information needed to place and service a policy.
-
Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, physical address, phone number, and date of birth.
-
Property & Vehicle Information: Details regarding your home, vehicles, claims history, and other assets requiring coverage.
-
Consumer Report Information: Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) and Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange (C.L.U.E.) reports are obtained by the insurers that quote the risk, under the authorization on the insurer’s own application.
-
Technical & Usage Data: Website analytics records page and device activity without personal identifiers. No prospect data (name, phone number, email address, address or form answers) is placed in analytics.
-
Verification and underwriting data: Aulona Insurance Group LLC uses a data provider to verify identity, driver license and vehicle information for a quote. The insurers that quote the risk may obtain a credit-based insurance score, with the authorization taken from you on the recorded call; no credit authorization is taken on this website.
-
Consent and security records: When you check the consent box on a form, Aulona Insurance Group LLC records the wording shown to you, the date and time in UTC, your IP address and the browser you used, so the consent can be shown later exactly as you gave it. The agency’s own attribution record keeps that IP address as a one-way hash and the browser only as a category such as mobile or desktop, never the full browser string.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and personalize our insurance services.
- To place and service property and casualty insurance policies.
- To communicate with you regarding policy updates, renewals, billing, and claims processing.
- To comply with legal obligations and industry regulations, including Texas Department of Insurance requirements.
- To improve our website functionality, customer service, and overall user experience.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to outside marketers.
Under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Aulona Insurance Group LLC shares nonpublic personal information only as permitted by law, to place and service the coverage you asked for. No opt-out is offered because the agency shares nonpublic personal information with no nonaffiliated third party for marketing.
- Insurance Carriers & Wholesalers: We share your data with appointed insurance carriers and general agents to obtain quotes and bind coverage on your behalf.
- Service Providers: We may share information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating our business.
- Legal & Regulatory Authorities: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
5. SMS & Mobile Data Privacy
If you consent to receive SMS text messages from Aulona Insurance Group LLC, by checking the consent box on a form on this website or by giving express consent on a recorded call, your mobile data is handled with a high level of security.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Third-Party Services, Links and Browser Storage
Aulona Insurance Group LLC links to no third-party website from its own pages. An insurer may send a policyholder to its own payment or service portal directly; that portal is run by the insurer under its own privacy policy, and the agency does not control it.
Three outside services run on this website, and the website also keeps one working copy of your form in your own browser. Each one is named below.
Outside services on this website
- Cloudflare bot protection. The four pages that carry a form load Cloudflare’s bot check. It reads your IP address and basic browser details to decide whether the request came from a person, and it reports only that decision back to this site. It is not used to advertise to you.
- The text-message provider. When you ask for the one-time code that confirms your mobile number, the number and the code are passed to the messaging provider that sends the text. The provider keeps that message in its own sending record. No other answer from the form is sent to it.
- Google Analytics. Page and device activity is measured without personal identifiers. No name, date of birth, phone number, email address, street address or form answer is placed in analytics.
A working copy of your form, on your device
- The quote form saves your answers as you go. They are stored in your browser’s local storage, under the key
aulona_quote_state_v1, so a half-finished form survives a reload or a lost signal. The saved copy can hold your name, date of birth, email address and phone number. - That copy stays on your device. Nothing in it reaches Aulona Insurance Group LLC until you submit the form. It is cleared when you submit, and you can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser. The record that your number was verified is never saved there.
- How you arrived is kept for the visit only. The landing page, any campaign tags in the address and the site you came from are held in your browser’s session storage so a lead can be attributed to the channel that produced it. That store holds nothing you typed and is emptied when you close the tab.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- Opting out of communications: You may unsubscribe from marketing emails and reply STOP to SMS messages.
- Accessing and updating data: Contact us directly to review, correct, or update personal information on file.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date.
