What auto insurance covers for a Frisco driver

A Frisco auto policy is a Texas personal auto contract: Texas Transportation Code §601.072 fixes the liability minimum at 30/60/25, and the Texas Auto Insurance page details that minimum, personal injury protection (PIP) under Texas Insurance Code §1952.152, and the uninsured motorist offer under Texas Insurance Code §1952.101.

A Frisco declarations page showing liability and nothing else usually has two signed rejections behind it. Frisco pushes the rest of the question onto the vehicle, because sensors set into the glass and bumpers that carry their own replacement cost make the repair estimate, and the deductible behind it, the part worth arguing about.

FEMA lists the City of Frisco as National Flood Insurance Program community 480134, in the regular phase since June 18, 1980, with the Frisco flood insurance rate map in force dated June 7, 2017, the date FEMA also shows for McKinney and Allen.

Which county a Frisco address rates in

Frisco is cut in two by a county line. The eastern side of the City of Frisco lies in Collin County and the western side in Denton County, so one city holds two counties’ worth of rating.

Two appraisal districts follow from that split. A Frisco home east of the line is appraised by the Collin Central Appraisal District, and a home west of it by the Denton Central Appraisal District.

Texas Insurance Code §2253.001 stops an insurer that subdivides a county into rating territories from charging any subdivision more than 15 percent above another for identical coverage, and 28 TAC §5.9960 lets it exceed that only on a rate that is actuarially sound and supported by data filed with the Texas Department of Insurance.

Two Frisco neighbours can therefore sit in two territories. Give the garaging address, not the mailing address.

What North Texas hail does to a Frisco auto policy

Hail is the weather claim that reaches a Frisco auto policy, and it reaches only one part of it.

Collin County and Denton County both sit under the National Weather Service Fort Worth/Dallas forecast office, which issues the severe thunderstorm warnings that carry hail, and NOAA’s Storm Events Database keeps those reports county by county.

Comprehensive coverage is what pays for hail: the dented hood, the pitted roof, the starred windshield. Collision pays none of it, and liability was never in the conversation.

A financed or leased Frisco vehicle already carries comprehensive, because the lender wrote it into the loan. A paid-off car whose owner dropped physical damage coverage owns the hail damage outright.

What Aulona Insurance Group places for Frisco drivers

Aulona Insurance Group places personal auto for Frisco drivers for standard and non-standard risk under Texas Agency License #3481412, and the Texas Auto Insurance page lists everything the agency writes.

A newer Frisco vehicle usually arrives with a lienholder behind it, which means comprehensive and collision are not optional on that car and the deductible is the only choice left on the physical damage side.

Every Frisco risk is taken to a market Aulona Insurance Group is appointed with, and Luka Cenaj, the agency’s licensed principal, confirms the vehicles and the drivers on a recorded call before anything is bound.

Where Aulona Insurance Group is not the right fit

Aulona Insurance Group cannot place a Frisco vehicle with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $150,000 or more, which is where a Frisco driveway meets this list first, nor one built before 1981, one without a seventeen-digit VIN, a recreational vehicle, all-terrain vehicle, trailer, golf cart, bus, hearse or heavy truck, a storage-only or gap-only policy, or a post office box garaging address.

A non-owner policy is declined, except a non-owner SR-22 for a listed driver.

A vehicle used for business, or titled to an LLC, corporation, partnership or trust, is not written on a personal auto policy. Aulona Insurance Group places it as commercial auto instead. See Commercial Auto Insurance in Texas.

What moves the price of a Frisco auto policy

The premium on a Frisco auto policy is set by the insurer, never by Aulona Insurance Group, and no figure for it appears anywhere on this site.

A Frisco rate reads every listed driver, the coverage chosen and which side of the county line the vehicle sleeps on:

  • The driving record for each listed driver, since a ticket, an at-fault accident or a coverage gap rates for years
  • Liability limits written above the 30/60/25 floor
  • The comprehensive and collision deductibles carried on the vehicle
  • The vehicle’s age and value, and the repair bill behind it, since sensors set into the glass and the bumpers carry their own replacement cost
  • Whether the garaging address falls on the Collin County or the Denton County side of Frisco

Aulona Insurance Group publishes no premium and ranks no insurer. That number comes from the insurer, on the call.

Working with Aulona Insurance Group from Frisco

Aulona Insurance Group works from one office, in Plano, and serves Frisco by phone. No visit to Frisco or to Plano is part of placing coverage.

The whole placement still runs on the phone: eight questions here, about two minutes, finishing with a one-time code texted to your mobile number.

Luka Cenaj calls next to go through the cars, the drivers and the limits worth carrying, then takes the file to the markets the agency holds appointments with. No quote is issued and nothing is bound before that call, and Frisco drivers who would rather handle all of it in Albanian can.
